Heard of “vampire facials” (PRP therapy) or PRP hair treatment?

While PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is the latest buzzword in aesthetic medicine, here’s a better alternative, especially for hair loss – Exosome Stem Cell Therapy.

What is Exosome Stem Cell Therapy?

Exosome Stem Cell Therapy is a hair regrowth treatment with rising popularity. Exomes are core substances that transmit messages between cells in the human body. Think of them as avatars or messengers for stem cells; they possess the regenerative effects of a stem cell and deliver stem cell efficacies to receptor cells.

When used on hair, exosomes transmit signals between epithelial and dermal papilla cells to stimulate dormant hair follicles growth and hair regeneration.

Exosome Stem Cell Therapy VS PRP

Exosome Hair Therapy

Not yet legalised in Singapore

Legalised in Singapore

Yields inconsistent results as it yields less bioactive substances for older patients

Exosomes are consistent as they are lab-grown with a high concentration of growth factors

Needs to be injected for results

Less invasive due to smaller molecule size that allows for direct application onto the skin

Exosomes also have 3x as much growth factors as PRP does and do not contain impurities from unnecessary portions of your own blood.

How is Exosome Stem Cell Therapy different from Stell Cell Therapy?

Instead of using actual stem cells, exosomes hair therapy is an innovative approach that uses communicating vesicles that stimulate the body’s own stem cells to release growth factors naturally. As such, exosomes pose a low risk of allergic reactions compared to actual stem cells. Its small molecular size (1/1000th the size of a stem cell) also makes exosomes more efficient and allows for effective skin penetration.

How Does Exosome Stem Cell Therapy Work?

Exomes contain RNA and mRNA, the initiator of protein manufacturing. They promote cellular growth and inherit several useful growth factors, including those that:

  • Recruit mononuclear cells (mixture of different types of cells)
  • Encourage blood vessel formation
  • Encourage stem cell and melanocyte growth
  • Convert inflammatory cells to anti-inflammatory cells

Most notably, exosomes prolong the hair growth cycle by converting hair follicles stuck in the telogen phase to the anagen phase.

Benefits of Exosome Stem Cell Therapy

ASCEplus HRLV contains 10 billion exosomes, 10 types of different growth factors and 30 essential nutrients for scalp and hair nourishment. In addition, it contains miRNAs that have an anti-inflammatory effect on the scalp.

When used on the hair, exosomes from follicular stem cells can:

  • Inhibit cell ageing
  • Relieves inflammation to improve scalp health
  • Promote regenerative wound healing
  • Improve problematic scalp environment
  • Stimulates dermal papilla cells’ cell proliferation that help in hair growth
  • Strengthen hair roots and prolong hair growth phase (anagen phase)
  • Promotes cytokines involved in hair growth

Both male and female patients suffering from hair loss and scalp problems can benefit from Exosomes hair growth treatment.

ASCE+ Exosomes

At Artisan FUE Hair Clinic, we use stem cell-derived ExoSCRT Exosomes developed by ExoCoBio in our Exosome Hair Growth Treatment. ExoSCRT Exosomes are the only exosomes that meet the criteria of the International Society of Extracellular Vesicles (ISEV) and Korean Food and Drug Administration (MFDS).

They contain:

  • 10 types of growth factors that promote hair health
  • 30 types of ingredients that nourish hair and scalp, such as biotin and copper-tripeptide
  • 30 types of anti-inflammatory miRNA
  • Over 10008 growth factors and proteins, of which 101 are for cell proliferation

Studies show an approximate 30% increase in cell proliferation when patients are treated with ExoSCRT Exosomes.

What Our Patients Say

Hair Loss Is A Medical Condition

Understanding our human hair anatomy allows us to achieve a higher success rate in reversing hair loss condition.

Growing phase (Anagen)

Cells in the root of your hair rapidly divide for new hair to form. Hair grows about half an inch a month. This phase lasts an average of 3-5 years.

Regressing phase (Catagen)

Active hair growth ceases, and individual hairs separate from the hair follicle. This phase lasts for about 10 days.

Resting phase (Telogen)

Hair strands remain in their follicles for about 3 months before falling off to make way for new hair follicles. After which, losing about 50-100 strands of hair per day is normal. Hair loss may occur when this growth cycle is disrupted. If your hair is not growing as long or fast as it used to be, you may be experiencing a disruption in your hair growth cycle for various reasons. Speak to us for a solution.
